Come take classes at The Hive St. Pete
The Hive pottery studio is fully-apportioned, including four kilns, eleven wheels, two wedging tables, two slab rollers, a glaze room, and many work areas. An outdoor gas kiln area is in the plans. Further, we offer gallery space for curated pieces at only 15% commission.
The Hive St. Pete offers many classes every week. You may choose wheel throwing (like in Ghost), hand building, or sculptural classes, or you can join us for memberships with unlimited access to the studio. Classes range from 1 day to 6 weeks.
There are two resident potters at The Hive. One is the owner, Carol Schubert, and the other is the studio manager, David Smith. David is an experienced ceramic teacher, with degrees is studio arts and photography. Both give instruction, but David is the primary teacher.
