Teen Community Clay Class
Designed to furnish teens with a hands-on art experience, this four-week session starts with basics of wheel-throwing and hand-building and grows with the student.
Classes include one hour of group instruction per week and one hour of lightly supervised studio time immediately after for help with practice and individual projects. Unprogrammed open studio is offered on Thursdays from 3-5.
$150 for each four-week session.
This class includes 25 lbs. of clay and all firings and glazes need for each four-week session.
Students must be mature enough to work independently in a community setting and make good use of studio time and materials. Ceramic art can involve tools that can be dangerous to the inattentive user. We expect all of our students, adult and teen, to act with safety in mind.
This class may change teachers between sessions to give students a broader experience in instruction.
